The Easy Basic Waffle Potholder is a simple yet practical crochet project, perfect for adding a handmade touch to your kitchen. Its textured waffle design is created using alternating stitches, providing both durability and a stylish, classic look. Use two colors—Ecru and Spanish Red— or just one to make a charming and functional piece.

This potholder is worked in alternating rows of single crochet and double crochet, forming a soft but sturdy fabric. The concealed color changes ensure a seamless design while maintaining a neat and polished finish. The technique of carrying the unused color across the row makes it easy to switch colors without extra ends to weave in. The result is a sturdy, heat-resistant potholder that is both decorative and practical.

To complete the project, a 1-inch ring is securely sewn onto one corner, allowing for easy hanging and storage. Whether used as a protective barrier for hot pots and pans or simply as a decorative element in your kitchen, this waffle-pattern potholder is a timeless addition to any home. Its simple stitch pattern and clear instructions make it a great choice for beginners and experienced crocheters alike.
