- Yarn: 1 skein Chadwick’s Red Heart Orlon “Fashion-Glo,” 3 Ply, Art. E.265-M, in No. M.676 Emerald (1 oz. skein)

Instructions
Collar
- Foundation Chain: Chain 71 to measure 13 inches.
- Row 1: Dc in the 4th chain from the hook and in each chain across. Chain 3, turn.
- Row 2: In the first dc, make (dc, ch 1, dc) (shell made). Skip 1 dc, dc in the next dc, skip 1 dc, in the next dc make (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc). Repeat from * across for a total of 18 shells. Chain 3, turn.
- Rows 3 & 4: In the space of the next shell, make (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc); dc in the next dc. Repeat from * across, ending with a shell in the last shell. Chain 3, turn.
- Row 5: Make 5 dc in the space of the next shell, dc in the next dc. Repeat from * across. Break off yarn.
Edging
- Attach yarn at the beginning of the first row. Working along the short side of the collar:
- Chain 3, and dc closely across to the first shell.
- Work 2 dc in each of the first 3 dc, then dc in the next 2 dc.
- Sc in the next dc, dc in the next 5 dc. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in the last dc between the shells.
- Dc in the next 2 dc, 2 dc in each of the next 3 dc, then dc closely along the opposite short side.
- Break off yarn.
Ties
- Attach yarn to the left side of the neck edge and chain 7 inches. Break off.
- Attach yarn to the right side of the neck edge and chain 7 inches.
- Work Back Across Ties: Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook and in each chain across. Continue to sc across the opposite side of the starting chain of the collar and across the chain on the other side. Break off yarn.
Finishing
- Press: Gently press the collar through a damp cloth to shape.
- Embellish:
- Sew one sequin, pearl, and small bead to each scallop, the center of each side at the front, and the end of each tie.
