For this project you’ll need:

Yarn – I’m using Peaches and Cream Stripey in the color “Spring Blue Stripes”

Scissors

and a Yarn needle.

Single Crochet Dishcloth Instructions:

  1. To start you’re going to make a chain of 21 loops.
  2. Then single crochet in every chain down the row, starting with the first chain.
  3. When you get to the end, you’ll chain one and turn your work.
  4. Now, if you look at the top of your work you’ll see that it looks different from when you were just crocheting in the chain. Now there is a little row of V’s. This is how the rows of single crochet chains look. This is what your rows will look like from now on. Starting with the first chain, crochet in each chain down the row. At the end of every row chain one and turn your work. Make a total of 20 rows.
  5. When you’ve finished making 20 rows you’re going to chain one, pull the yarn through and cut it leaving a short tail of yarn at the end.
  6. Using a yarn needle, work the yarn tail in and out of the stitches to hide the yarn and secure your work.
  7. And that’s it! You did it! You made a dishcloth! Now if you make a few of these, you can give them out as gifts.
